This isn’t a trailer for the next Halo or Gears of War. This is a PSA for something infinitely more important. Childsplay is a charity started 8 years ago by the fine folks over at Penny Arcade and is dedicated to providing toys, books, and videogames for children in hospitals
all over the world. Make Studios put together this amazing PSA to drum up support for this worthy cause.

As a father of a child who has spent some time at a children’s hospital, I can tell you first hand these kids deserve something to make them smile. Thankfully my son’s condition isn’t serious, but when I walk down the halls of Children’s Hospital in Seattle during one of his check-ups I see children who aren’t so lucky. Whether it’s a Wii or Kinect making physical therapy fun, or a DS or Xbox 360 providing a bed ridden child a much needed escape; Childsplay
brings a little joy and peace of mind to kids who are suffering. That’s why I throw these guys at least five bucks every year, it’s not much but if the 70,000 people who attended the Penny Arcade Expo this year pitched in a fiver, well, you do the math.
You can donate by going to www.childsplaycharity.org/ or, if you’re feeling extra generous, you can help them check off items from their amazon wish list here. Dig deep brothers because when gamer’s give back it makes a difference.
